A trip to Poetice in 2022 completely changed the trajectory of my life. This city and this community showed me the true joy of the Lord through worship and relationships. I realized that my hopeful career path of providing clean drinking water to people was incomplete if they didn’t know Jesus personally and the life-changing joy that He brings to every relationship and situation. I’ve felt the joy of the Lord and His presence right next to me more in Zambia than anywhere else in my life, and I’m so grateful for where God is leading me and what my future looks like here in Zambia.

I’m so excited to be a part of the journey that Poetice is on to transform this city through personal relationships with Jesus. Whatever I am doing, I know that Jesus’ hand is in it.

CLEAN WATER
I feel a calling on my heart to be working towards providing clean water to those who currently don’t have access to it. In our city of Choma many people drink water from wells easily contaminated by pit latrines and sewage. These wells are often uncovered and dangerous for children who could fall in and drown with one misstep. Many others city water through outdoor taps, but the water coming out of those isn’t always clean, and depending on the season, not always available due to water and power shortages. Part of my purpose here at Poetice is working to provide our surrounding community with “basic access” to safe drinking water, which is 30 minutes of total collection time all year-round as defined by the World Health Organization. We have already made tremendous progress and are excited where God is leading us! I’d love to partner with you in providing for this community through your financial support.
