This isn’t just a story about us.
It’s a story about Jesus.

We didn’t start with a plan.
We started with a yes.

We didn’t launch with blueprints.
We began with a burden.
Not for buildings or programs, but for people.
For the overlooked. The vulnerable.
The ones caught in the wake of broken systems.

In 2009, what began as a simple response to the HIV/AIDS crisis grew into something deeper.
In those early years, we tried everything to change the systems around us — hosting awareness campaigns, offering medical services, caring for orphans and widows, advocating for exploited girls, teaching vocational skills, and using music and art to reach youth.

We taught skills. We built programs. We launched initiatives.
Each one was a sincere attempt to rewrite broken stories.

And while all of that mattered, it wasn’t the whole answer.

We realized our mission wasn’t just to meet needs.
It was to reveal Jesus.

So we shifted.
From quick fixes to long obedience.
From development projects to discipleship.
From solutions to surrender.
Because true transformation doesn’t come from projects alone. It comes from presence.

And the work became wildly personal.

We planted deep roots in Choma, Zambia — not just to serve the city, but to love it.
To live among its people. To grow a family. To pursue justice not from a distance, but through proximity and presence.

Over time, a new movement began to bloom.

We trained leaders. Planted house churches. We worshiped. We wept.
We witnessed lives change — not by strategy alone, but by the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

Our mission is simple:

to see God revealed and His followers activated.

We pursue this mission through three main pursuits:

COMMUNITY

loving and serving our city in tangible ways

TRAININGS

forming disciples and leaders through immersive rhythms

EXPRESSIONS

releasing the beauty of God’s Kingdom into culture

But this mission is more than strategy. It’s a way of life.

It informs our rhythms, forms our culture, and fuels our vision for transformation.
We are a people marked by Presence, shaped by Purpose, and sent in Power.

We believe in a Gospel that touches every part of life:
hearts, homes, neighborhoods, and nations.
A Gospel that shows up not just in words, but through acts of love,
artifacts of beauty, lives of holiness, justice, creativity, and joy.

Even our name carries this heart.

Poetice is a word we created — where poetry (beauty) and justice (righteousness) meet.

It’s directly derived from Ephesians 2:10, which states:
“For we are God’s workmanship (translated from the Greek word poiēma),
created in Christ Jesus for good works (to pursue Justice),
which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Our 34-acre base in Choma is more than a location. It’s a home.

What began as empty land has become a vibrant hub of Kingdom life. It’s where worship rises daily. Where leaders are trained and sent. Where children play, families gather, and the city comes together around sports, school, coffee, and community.

This ground has hosted countless prayers, songs, and stories of transformation. It’s a place of compassion and justice, where wells of water and wells of life flow side by side.

Every corner of this base carries the same heartbeat:
presence with God, discipleship in community, and mission to the nations.

From here, the Gospel goes out — to our neighborhoods, our city, and now across Africa.

But our story doesn’t end here.
We believe God is writing a global story of renewal — through us, through you, through a movement of wholehearted people fully alive in Christ.

We’re not going to stop until every tribe, every tongue, every nation — every person on earth
encounters the same fullness of life we’ve experienced in Jesus.

OUR story is still being written.
And we’d love for you to live it with us.
