Statement of Faith

At Poetice, what we believe shapes how we live, how we love,
and how we carry the Kingdom into the world.

We stand within the historic Christian faith and gladly affirm the truths
expressed in the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed.
These declarations anchor us in the story of God across generations.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe in one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things, who is holy, loving, and sovereign, and who is actively revealing Himself and working in the world.

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, fully God and fully man, the perfect revelation of the Father. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He has made a way for humanity to be forgiven, restored, and brought into new life. He is alive and reigning as Lord, inviting all people into His Kingdom, and will return in glory to complete His work of redemption.

We believe the Holy Spirit is present and active today, leading us into truth, forming Christ within us, and empowering us to live transformed lives. Through the Spirit, we encounter the presence of God, hear His voice, and are equipped to walk in power, love, and obedience.

We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, revealing who He is and guiding us in belief and practice. Through Scripture, we come to know God and are shaped into His likeness, restored in our identity as sons and daughters of God, rooted in truth, and trained to live in alignment with His ways.

We believe every person is created in the image of God and therefore carries inherent dignity, value, and purpose. This compels us to honor, serve, and walk in mutual respect with others. Because of sin, humanity is separated from God and in need of redemption. God’s desire is restoration, inviting all people into repentance, freedom, and new life, offered by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

We believe salvation is a gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. In Him, we are forgiven, justified, made new, and brought into the family of God. This salvation is not simply rescue from sin, but ongoing transformation into a life of surrender, holiness, and love.

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, a global family of believers called to worship God, pursue His presence, love one another, and be formed as disciples of Jesus who make disciples of all nations. The Church is not only a gathering, but a people formed and sent into the world.

We believe that God invites His people to participate in His mission in the world by proclaiming the gospel, caring for the vulnerable, pursuing justice, and demonstrating the reality of His Kingdom here and now through lives of love, creativity, and surrender. As we follow Jesus, we are not only transformed, but we are also activated to bring transformation into the world around us.

We believe in the return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and the restoration of all things. We look forward to the fullness of God’s Kingdom, where He will dwell with His people and make all things new.
