Since our inception in 2009 our stakeholders have trusted Poetice International with their personal information. Whether you are a donor or volunteer, an organization or a community partner, our commitment to conduct business honestly and protect your privacy is at the heart of our Privacy Promise.
We respect your confidentiality.
Poetice International requires that your personal information be held in strict confidence. We use your information only for its intended business purpose. We do not sell or trade your information to other organizations or individuals.
When you visit our website or make a donation online or offline, you may provide us with personal information (such as name, address, email address, telephone numbers and/or credit/debit card information) that you knowingly choose to disclose, which is collected on an individual basis for various purposes. These purposes include registering to receive email newsletters or other materials, requesting further information from us about projects and services, donating to us, ordering merchandise, making requests, submitting a form on our website, or simply asking a question. We receive and store any information you enter on our website or give us in any other way, whether it is online or offline. We ask for personal information so that we can fulfill your request and return your message. This information is retained and used in accordance with existing laws, rules, regulations, and other policies. Poetice International does not collect personal information from you unless you provide it to us. If you choose not to provide any of that information, we may not be able to fulfill your request or complete your order, but you will still be free to browse the other sections of the websites owned and administered by Poetice International. This means that you can visit our site without telling us who you are or revealing any personally identifiable information about yourself.
We protect your information.
Poetice International takes every possible measure to make sure your information is not compromised in any way. If you are a participant in one of our programs or trips, and with your permission, we provide a list of participants to those also attending the trip. This list includes your name, church affiliation and email address. Other than as indicated, no one other than Poetice International staff has access to your information. We do allow access to your information to specific funding sources only as mandated by contractual requirements.
Our privacy promise extends online to our website. Online event registration information is transmitted via a secure server using encryption technology. Some online forms on our website are created with third party software through a contract with TRAIL SOFTWARE INC. (a.k.a. Kindful), a trusted software provider that also utilizes encryption technology.
If you choose to send us email, we may retain the contents of your email message, our reply and your email address as part of our ongoing customer service efforts. We reserve the right to contact you after you have contacted us and may send future emails and/or surveys to you about Poetice International.
You may notify us via email if you wish to discontinue electronic communication.
We keep accurate records.
We keep your personal information as accurate, complete, and up to date as is required to fulfill the purpose(s) for which you provided us with your personal information. Upon request in writing we will remove your personal information from our databases, except where legislation or regulation requires our retention of it (for example, charitable giving history tied to income tax receipts.)
