HELLO! My name is Alyssa, but chances are you at least know that much if you made it to this page. I am a lover of manatees, waterfronts, adventures, & of course, Jesus! Chances are you know a bit of my crazy, beautiful, totally God-orchestrated story. If not, & you’d like to know more, I’d love to hear from you & share with you. God has been so faithful all throughout my life in a million ways. It has been because of those instances of faithfulness that I have been able to say YES to the whirlwind He has placed my life on these past few months.

I went to Zambia with Poetice for the first time in May 2019 to participate in the School of Justice & Mission (now called the Intensive Training). God blew my mind – not for the first time, but definitely in the biggest way. I saw all the injustices in the area. But I also saw the ways that God was moving to break those strongholds too. I saw individuals laying down idols, families reunited, children praying for grown adults, & JOY. So much joy. Let me tell you, friends, there is nothing comparable to witnessing.

While it has been a whirlwind, it is the most beautiful art that God has orchestrated in my life. There are pieces of this puzzle that He has been weaving since I was in elementary school, which is nuts. I am SO excited to continue to be a part of God’s work through Poetice!
