My name is Christopher Rheman from Malawi. I am 25 years old, offspring of four and am the second born. I applied to the internship and was accepted, and I am excited for what is to come this season.
Day one: In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth, is what we learned from Abby. The second day, we learned about “The Fall.” The image of God was destroyed. God created all races to reflect his true image. God created people, and everything we do is like a foundation. God created people to be people.
Identity – we learned about identity from Daniel and Sarah. We are created to be loved by God, made from a relationship of love for a relationship of love. Shame is the intensely painful feeling or experiences of believing that we are flawed and therefore unworthy of love and belonging – something we experienced or failed to do makes us unworthy of connection. I learned a lot about identity, and have been encouraging myself since to know more of who I am. Basically, my life has changed in a lot of ways. Identity is when we know our freedom, and when we know our freedom everything changes.
I have also learned a lot about God’s dreams for Africa from our teacher Bruce. I learned the history of our lineage, and that Africa is not cursed. Africa is not cursed, and it is time for Africa to rise up and preach the Gospel to other nations. I agree that Africa is blessed and that God is raising up our people for an important time of spiritual revival. I am excited about what this means for my future and Africa’s future, and can’t wait to see what else I will learn in the rest of this internship.
