Submission to Christ

Hi, I am Gift Syambale from Choma Zambia, 29 years of age, an intern of Poetice International Zambia 2018. It has been such a wonderful chance for me to be among the 2018 interns. My stay at Poetice base for the past 4 weeks has been so great for me.
To begin with, we did God’s story with John and Abigail. They went further saying, God created man and woman in His likeness. This was done because of the love God has for man; He gave man authority over everything. We were also reminded that God created man for a purpose/reason. We also learned that man was created for a family/relationship. However, Daniel and Sarah helped us to break the core lies that existed in us and also reminded us of who we are in the Lord (identity) and also that we are unique, have worth, and are valuable. They went further saying, if we surrender, trust and accept the truth, we will be able to worship God, start heaven meeting on earth, and become God’s ambassador.

Most of the teachings seemed to be interconnected as Dave jumped in with his teachings about freedom. We first defined freedom as we thought it was and to discover it wasn’t. Freedom is subjected to the master who loves and cares for us. We also learned that what we fear and desire is what we tend to worship. We are the image of the Divine; we are to worship the true God. Meanwhile, Bruce and Fred talked about God’s dream for Africa, where we got exposed to many things concerning our relationships and our ancestors. This boosted our love towards each other for we now know where we came from.

It has been wonderful teaching so far as almost every teaching involved the building up of our relationships toward each other. We were also reminded of what breaks the relationship as in 1 Peter 3:8 and what builds it as in Proverbs 16:18.
