THIS IS
PASTOR ADAM CHIBAWE
He is the Pastor at the
Jordan Pilgrim Wesleyan Church
and has been for the last 29 years.
He is married
and has 8 children.
He first felt a calling on his life
to pursue ministry work in 1987.
Before becoming a Pastor, he was a choir master.
By his own admission, he “sang too much.”
With very little prompting, he breaks into song.
Currently, his church averages about 50 to 60 members every week. Pastor Adam desires to continue to grow his church and reach his community through evangelism.
JORDAN PILGRIM WESLEYAN CHURCH IS LOCATED IN AN EXTREMELY RURAL PART OF THE SOUTHERN PROVINCE OF ZAMBIA.

Rural communities often face more challenges due to complications caused by inadequate roads.
As you can see below, adequate transportation is absolutely essential.
This is the journey from Katongo PWC to Jordan PWC.
THE JORDAN PWC COMMUNITY
IS FIGHTING MANY CHALLENGES.
They have a large number of people who are sick and suffer from malnutrition. Deaths from HIV/AIDS are contributing to an ever-growing orphan population.
The relationship between poverty and access to healthcare is part of a larger cycle, where poverty leads to ill health, and ill health maintains poverty.
Access to clean water has also been a big problem.
Until recently, when the church received a new well.
With unlimited water
now located on the church property,
we are going to help Jordan PWC
plant an orange grove.
When a church community has access to an orange grove, it provides a way to nourish the sick and give food for the hungry. It also allows the church to sell any remaining fruit in the market and use that money to meet many of the other needs within the community.
