My name is Sande Mulwanda. I’m 25 of age and I come from Ndola in the Copperbelt province of Zambia. I’m passionate about conservation. I strongly believe that if people fully take part in this concept, future generations will have a chance to enjoy the beauty of our earth and life in general. I’m passionate about music although I have zero talent in this area, none what-so-ever. Basically I suck in any sense of it. While in the Immersion Internship I have noticed how music is used as a tool to worship God and I really want to learn how to play a musical instrument. Gladly I have come to know musically talented friends here that are willing to teach me. I’m super excited to learn a musical skill so I can use it to worship God too. I enjoy meaningful relationships and through the Immersion Internship God is amazingly blessing me with such, again I’m super excited.
God purposely chose me to be part of the Immersion Internship and I don’t regret answering His call for this opportunity. The program has really made me to be self-aware and in just three weeks have a different perspective about myself. So far, through the teachings from Bruce Chitambala, Daniel Favretti, Sarah Lin, Phil Wiseman, Abigail & John Van Peursem and William N’gambi, I have come to appreciate the beauty found in celebrating different cultures. Once a balance is created, I have come to realize my true identity by redefining the core lies of not being worthy with the core truth that I am worthy because God gave His only son for me, I am loved by God, I am who God says I am and I am defined by Him and nobody else. Being given the right tools on how to study the bible, I now appreciate the bible context and with time I believe I will have defragmented biblical knowledge. Man was created in God’s image, God is a creative genius and every human is uniquely a creative genius created for a purpose. I strongly believe that the Immersion Internship is one of the experiences that God is using to help me discover my purpose in life. It’s amazing to hear God speak and everyday God is increasingly shining His light at my heart house, gradually being restored.
Every day I wake up in a beautiful environment where I get to walk with God and amazing people that are so supportive and encouraging in my walk. It’s amazing how a simple walk with Christ in the last three weeks as made me rested, for the first time in seven years I now find myself trusting in God with everything, my spirit is at peace. If this shift can happen in just three weeks, I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me and my fellow interns at the end of this internship. I’m super excited for His will and what is to come, nothing but bliss out here!!!!
