My name is Wendy Katombora from Livingstone, Zambia. I am the first born in my family of three kids and I am the only girl and I have two brothers. I have been a part of the internship this year. It’s been so amazing and great. Meeting new people has been so good and great. I am someone that enjoys meeting new people and getting to know their culture and background. Being in one place with people from different parts of the world, with different languages and cultures is amazing. I enjoy learning and discovering new things from different people from different parts of the world.
My first challenge was living in the same house with people I don’t know. Living far away from home is not my thing because I love my family and I enjoy spending more time with my mom. Living in a house of many rules and sleeping in the same room with different people from different cultures has been so good. Like having a wonderful talk with each other has helped me to get to know each other better.
I won’t say I’m finished growing because I’m still growing more spiritually. I’m looking forward to having an intimate relationship with Christ Jesus which is such a wonderful thing to be looking forward to experiencing. I think God is still working on me with patience because I’m one person who did not have patience. I’ve always wanted things to happen so fast but God knew the good plans he had for me. God has really been working on my patience and my heart. Just waiting on the Lord and to hear from Him what He has for me. I believe that He and He alone has plans for me just like in Jeremiah 29:11.
